So I am starting a new thing at my work...its kinda my brainchild and wasn’t sure if it was really going to pan out, but the first 2 of the 6 or so I have planned just got published today and they turned out way better than I was expecting. As an Oppo bonus: my cruiser is in both videos.
Its a win for me, and I am stoked to the the slot canyon/rock climbing ones this Friday and next week.
I’m still working out a few kinks, but overall I’m pretty happy with them.

I Think They Turned Out Pretty Nice

Thanks. Nothing too special, but if these do well it means I get to spend more of my working days doing cool stuff like this instead of filming doctors talking about payment models.

I’m excited to see the climbing one!
Where will you be shooting it?

Big cottonwood canyon or Ferguson canyon probably

These are pretty neat, well done.

They are great! I really like your way of filming, and I hope you get to do more of this kind of stuff.

me too! The one on Friday is paying for the gas and food for the trip Im taking along the way (6 days 330 miles of trails)

Awesome, I’m sure you’ll post about the trip, right?

Well, I will happen to have about 20 grands worth of camera gear along for the ride so...yes.

Very nice. Either will make an awesome setting for a video.

Great stuff. Makes me miss my old job a little bit. Don’t spend much time behind a camera anymore. Not having the gear at my disposal isn’t helping that either.

Nice work! Call me crazy, but the mountain bike dude HAS to be related to you...
![]() 05/18/2016 at 17:24 |

he is. Technically the other guys is too but in a REALLY round about kinda way.

Very cool, the lighting in the MTB video is spot-on beautiful! Though I can’t help but wonder what use those extremely wide tires have on trails like that.

Just like off road truck tires, high volume/low pressure = nice ride. He really likes them.

Makes sense! I personally prefer the speed/acceleration of the smaller widths, except in winter, when everything around here is turned into one big mud pit.

I’ve asked about that, he doesn’t seem to think its really slowing him down too much (he used to ride a standard 26). I can tell you one thing, you can certainly hear him coming down the trails

Probably depends on the trail as well, I can imagine the extra width and deformability help on rocky and loose trails. I’ve found some sources that claim a wider tire can have lower rolling resistance than a smaller one (due to less sidewall deformation), so he could very well be right.

That’s a lot of unsprung weight, he might not go faster on a normal width 29er but it would burn a lot less calories.

he keeps up just fine, so thats not an issue. Mostly, it got him back into it.

well the rear is completely unsprung...so there’s that. Also, these tires are bloody expensive. Like $150 a tire.
![]() 05/18/2016 at 19:31 |

Damn that’s the same price as a 31" bfg ko2

I know it, nutty right?
